Epidermal growth factor (EGF) plays an important role in nutrients transport. The present study was to investigate the effects of EGF on glucose absorption a cellular injury model (IPEC-J2 cells, vitro study) and animal (weaned piglets, vivo established by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). In study: porcine intestinal epithelial cells (IPEC-J2) were divided into four treatments: control group (Control); 100 ng/mL treatment (EGF); 1 μg/mL LPS (LPS) plus (EGF + LPS). results showed that significantly increased alkaline phosphatase (AKP) sodium/potassium-transporting adenosine triphosphatase (Na+/K+-ATPase) activity, improved mRNA protein expression SGLT1, GLUT2, receptor (EGFR) AMP-activated kinase α1 (AMPK-α1) LPS-induced injured cells. experiment: twenty-four piglets weaned at 21 days randomly assigned into: (1) (basal diets); (2) diet +2 mg/kg EGF); (3) injection with μg/kg BW LPS) (4) 2 Our AKP Na+/K+-ATPase EGFR AMPK-α1 jejunum mucosa challenged LPS. conclusion, can activate EGFR/AMPK signalling up-regulate SGLT1 GLUT2 as well improve thereby promoting IPEC-J2 LPS.HIGHLIGHTSEGF promotes activity cells.EGF LPS.Dietary supplementation activates promote piglets.
